The T16 Pro is a full size multi protocol radio that runs the open source OpenTX. This pro version now includes a built in TX module freeing up the back slot for a long range system such as TBS Crossfire.

Jumper JP4-in-1 Module
The Jumper JP4IN1 Module features the CC2500, NRF24L01, A7105 and CYRF6936 RF Chip modules all integrated on one board. This module can convert standard PPM signals form module equipped radios in to the RF protocols used by most radios in the market today (See RF Chip data below).
This module is plug and play with module equipped radios in the FrSKY series and requires no complex wiring or “hacking” to get running.
The module is a great way to improve the enjoyment of your flying experience, using a better radio such as the FrSKY Taranis series rather than the low grade radios commonly included with most kits offers an night and day difference in performance. The Jumper JP4IN1 module is also upgradable via USB input

I’ll admit that I was a little hesitant to order this as I read a few mixed reviews of the vendor and overseas orders ( and I hate the stupid pop-up notifications on the website). l’m glad I overlooked those concerns as the radio has exceeded all my expectations. I love that it can link to most common receivers and that it is highly configurable with Open TX. I’m even happier as Frsky seems to have doubled down on dropping interoperability and seeming to want to shut down the open standards that helped them get where they are. I’d fully recommend the T16. I can’t say I’m experienced enough to tell the difference between the standard and hall sticks, but for $10 or $20 more I’ll never have to worry about it.

The only con I can think of is the lack of built-in battery charging, but I’m not to worried as I’m charging all sorts of other batteries anyway.

Fantastic Device

Worked great out of the box. flashed new firmware the sys key stopped working correctly. other people have had this weird issue and it takes reseating the ribbon cable inside to work correctly again. I thought they were crazy on reseating the ribbon cable but it resolved my issue after firmware update, go figure. One other thing i would do is replace the micro sd card with something a little faster. Copy files to it is extremely slow yet replacing it with another card sped it up by 1000%. Very quickly delivered and I Love this new controller!!!
